Welcome to my sandbox.

Most of the recipes here begin as a scent, a memory, or a hint of a flavor that prompts a craving and an idea. And then it is only a matter of time until I am in the kitchen playing around with various flavors, textures, and techniques until the idea becomes a perfect, mouthwatering reality.

And then I share it here … with you.

What once started as a hobby has become a full-fledged passion. Like any other passion, food is tightly interwoven with every other facet of my being. Sometimes I’ll share those aspects with you, too.

And who am I? I am a 20-something-or-other taking on New York City. Far from being a chef, I have been trained through experimentation, weekend afternoons getting in my mother’s way in the kitchen, and 20-some-odd years of eating (rather voraciously). I’ve worked a bit in a commercial kitchen, too.
