On the strip of sin(ful deliciousness) on Amsterdam Ave lies not only Jacques Torres but also the subterranean Levain. Walk along the strip, stop by both and treat yourself to a spicy milk chocolate mousse filled sugar donut + warm chocolate chip cookie from Jacques Torres and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie from Levain and your heart will be beating so quickly you won’t know if it’s from the sheer excitement/happiness from it all, so much sugar consumed in such a short period of time … or from an impending heart attack from all the butter. Even if it’s the latter, your tastebuds will be so happy, you won’t even care.
